Does music encourage knife and gun crime?

Serious concerns have been raised that some music causes violence through the use of lyrics and imagery which glorify gang crime and violence. 

So where do kids hear the opposite viewpoint from songs that knife and gun crime is just a waste of innocent lives. Is radio playing protest songs against knife and gun crime violence that is sweeping the streets of cities and towns in the UK.

We may be mad but don’t want to make money from our latest song ‘Knife & Gun Crime (What a Waste of Innocent Lives) we just want to get the message out there.

London’s streets are infamous for knife crime and murders. In the North Huddersfield suffers greatly for it.

Specialist undercover police are on the streets of Huddersfield in a bid to reduce knife crime two months after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death.

Schoolboy Khayri Mclean was killed outside his school in September.
Now two teenage cousins who stabbed a 15-year-old boy to death as he walked home from school in West Yorkshire have been jailed for life.

Jovani Harriott, 17, and Jakele Pusey, 15, murdered Khayri McLean after ambushing him outside North Huddersfield Trust School last year.

Residents were left “horrified” by the attack, and later another teenage boy was left seriously injured in a knife attack.
In the weeks after Khayri’s death police used extended stop and search powers in parts of Huddersfield, arresting five people.

The powers give police the right to search people without reasonable grounds for suspicion in a specified area for a defined period of time.
he 12 months up to January saw 233 reports of ‘possession of weapon’ crime reports in Huddersfield, while 288 stop and searches were carried out across Huddersfield in relation to offensive weapons over the same period, according to data on the website Police.uk. The data appears to show that the town centre and surrounding streets tend to have higher numbers of incidents than other areas.
