BROKEN COUNTRY NEW RELEASE

JOHNNY Dysfunctional feels he has gone a long way to capturing the current disaffected mood of great swathes of the UK public by releasing his single ‘BROKEN COUNTRY.’

He’s following in the footsteps of Marvin Gaye ‘What’s Goin on’, The Specials ‘Ghost Town’ & Dylans ‘Maggies Farm’ in writing a contemporary and commentary song for troubled times.

“Essentially it’s a complaint list of what I hear personally, hear on the radio and watch on TV. The UK has too many problems to solve all at once. The government is pleading poverty to tackle a great many of these crucial issues and the economic outlook is poor.

“People are worried that without the right kind of change things can only get worse.”

In his song, Dysfunctional, a Manchester based singer songwriter, makes reference to murder on the streets, kids stabbing kids, the NHS queues for treatment, striking doctors, foodbanks being needed to feed the poor and writes of ‘lone wolves in bedrooms planning mass killings.’

He echoes the statement made by many that ‘things aren’t how they used to be.’

Dysfunctional’s recent dance single ‘Long Hot Steamy Summer of Love’ appeared on Tomorrowland best ever songs ’25 along with David Gueta and Calvin Harris.

The prolific Dysfunctional’s ecletic and wry approach to music though often raises a smile he has written ‘The Singalong Recession Song’ and ‘London is a Brand New Country’ among many others.
